A million red roses

Rose Valley ATI is about 400 kilometers from Hanoi. Twisting mountain roads lead to the 20-hectare valley that lies between rose covered mountains, Ham Rong and Hoang Lien Son.

Established by American-invested American Technologies Inc. (ATI) in 2004, Rose Valley ATI offers breathtaking views of cloud-clad Sa Pa Town and mountainside gardens of roses and fruit blossoms like peach, plum, American persimmon and Taiwan almond.

ATI’s resort chalets, which are blended into the hillsides, are a sophisticated combination of ethnic and old European architectural styles

Eleven in all, the chalets are surrounded by gardens of red French roses making the resort a perfect honeymoon destination. When night falls, the scenery is adorned by multicolored lights from restaurants, soft music and mountain breezes.

Revel in this paragon of nature surrounded by clouds and relax with an ethnic medicine bath VND140,000 (US$8.20), listen to music performances of Mong, Dao, Tay, Xa Pho peoples and enjoy delicious specialties at the resort’s restaurants and bars. From ATI valley, backpackers can go on climbing tours to misty Fansipan Mountain, Vietnam’s highest mountain, discover the ethnic villages and try a range of unique local fruit.

From March to November, take in the delicious scent of a million roses in the morning. During the winter offseason, the plum and peach orchards come alive like spring in Japan.

As the Chairman of Lao Cai Province, Bui Quang Vinh, said, Rose Valley ATI is a beautiful flower in Sa Pa Town’s “tourist garden.” By combining farming and tourism, this eco-resort has become a model for other resorts in the northern provinces.
